Penghu International Fireworks Festival 2026
Anime theme, longer run, and 33 nights of fireworks across Penghu County

The Penghu International Fireworks Festival returns this year with a new collaboration with Dragon Ball Z, a hugely popular Japanese anime, adding a new twist to one of Taiwan’s biggest summer events.
Preview shows are on April 20 and 27, with the full festival running from May 4 to August 25.
Fireworks will be held on Mondays and Thursdays in May and June. From June 30 to August 25, displays will take place every Tuesday. All events begin at 9 PM, with longer shows scheduled for the opening and closing nights.
The main venue is Guanyinting Recreation Area, with additional sessions on outlying islands and in other local areas to be announced.
Alongside the displays, the Dragon Ball Z collaboration will include themed installations, photo spots, and limited-edition merchandise.
Boat tours are also available for those who want a closer view, with tickets sold through platforms including Klook.
