The 2026 Dongxing Canal Light Art Festival will run from Saturday December 5 to Sunday December 27 around Dongxing Canal Park in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, transforming the waterfront and nearby areas with light installations and art, according to the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
This year’s theme is “Night Walk · Tam Shui Gong,” with artists invited to explore the canal’s history, local landscape, and relationship with water through light, environmental installations, and nighttime storytelling.
The exhibition will extend beyond the canal itself, with works planned for public spaces around the Hsinchu County General Library as well as several adjoining parks and waterfront areas, organizers said.
