The Taipei 101 Run Up is an annual tower-running race held inside Taipei 101, where participants climb more than 2,000 steps to reach the skyscraper’s outdoor observatory.

Known as a “vertical marathon,” it is considered one of the world’s toughest single-building stair races.

More than 4,000 runners are expected to take part in the Solo Challenger category in 2026, racing up the skyscraper in staggered waves throughout the day.

Although registration is now full, it's still worth heading to Taipei 101 on the day to check out the action.
