Taipei Arts Festival 2026
Theater, dance, and live performances return to the city
The Taipei Arts Festival returns in September, bringing more than two weeks of theater, dance, and multidisciplinary performances to venues across the city, according to the Taipei City Government.
Organized by the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs and the Taipei Performing Arts Center, the annual festival showcases international productions alongside new works by Taiwanese artists. Since its launch in the late 1990s, it has become one of Taiwan's leading performing arts festivals.
Highlights this year include the world premieres of Taiwanese director Wang Shih-wei's I Am the Wind, Wang Mo-lin's Epilogues, and Ocean Cage, a collaboration between Chinese multimedia artist Tianzhuo Chen and Indonesian choreographer Siko Setyanto.
Most performances will take place at the Taipei Performing Arts Center in Shilin, with selected productions staged at venues across Taipei. Tickets are available through OPENTIX, with prices varying by performance.
