The Taipei Hakka Yimin Festival is one of the city’s biggest showcases of the culture of Hakka people, a major ethnic group in Taiwan.
Over three days, temple groups from across Taiwan gather in Taipei for blessings and street parades, bringing traditional rituals into the open.
The “carrying pole offerings” procession is the centerpiece, turning faith into something you can see, hear, and feel.
Alongside it, performances and cultural events add a festive, carnival-like energy to the whole thing. If you're free over the weekend, it's worth checking out.
