The 2026 Chinese Taipei Wake Open will bring leading riders from Taiwan and overseas to the Shezi Island area of Shilin District from Friday September 4 to Sunday September 6 for three days of wakeboard and wakesurf competition on the Keelung River.

The competition will cover wakeboard, wakesurf surf, and wakesurf skim, with 43 divisions spanning different ages and skill levels, according to the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation’s event bulletin.

The organizer’s latest Instagram schedule says riders from more than seven countries will take part, with the finals held on Sunday and the award ceremony scheduled for 4:10 PM.

An ice-bath experience and a market will also be available at the venue, giving spectators more to do between competitions, according to Taipei Travel.

Admission is free, and organizers have announced a free shuttle service between Jiantan MRT Station and the venue on Saturday and Sunday, making the event suitable for both watersports fans and curious first-time spectators.
