Sweltering day with afternoon thunderstorms possible

Cloudy skies, afternoon thunderstorms and very hot, humid conditions are expected in Taipei on Thursday, according to a forecast published 7:05 AM by Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration (CWA).

The Taiwanese weather agency has issued a high temperature advisory, with daytime temperatures ranging from 27°C to 36°C and conditions expected to feel hot enough to raise the risk of heatstroke.

There is a 60% chance of rain during the day, so you might want to carry an umbrella and take care as thunderstorms are forecast in the afternoon.

Tonight into early Friday morning will be cloudy to overcast, with a 20% chance of rain and cooler temperatures ranging from 27°C to 32°C, the weather agency said.
