Japanese Shochu Festival 2026
A weekend of drinks, food, and music inspired by Japan

A major shochu festival from Japan's Kagoshima Prefecture will make its overseas debut in Taipei this July, bringing together more than 20 distilleries and 10 food vendors for a two-day celebration at Yuanshan Expo Park.
Organizers have described the event as one of the largest shochu events ever held outside Japan.
Shochu is a Japanese distilled spirit often made from sweet potatoes, barley, or rice, and is especially associated with Kagoshima. The Taipei event will offer a modern take on the drink, with shochu highballs, tea-based mixes, and fruit cocktails on offer.
Visitors can also expect food stalls, city pop music, and an outdoor festival atmosphere.
Tickets cost NT$499 in advance until July 10 or NT$580 at the door, and include one-day entry, a commemorative cup, and six credits that can be used at participating vendors.
