This exhibition at the New Taipei City Gold Museum brings together traditional gold jewelry and contemporary metalwork from the museum’s collection.
According to the New Taipei City Government, the show features 42 traditional gold ornaments and 15 contemporary metalwork pieces. It is divided into two sections: “Treasured Old Gold Jewelry” and “New Visions in Metalwork.”
By placing older and newer works side by side, the exhibition looks at how metal craft has changed across time while continuing to carry social, cultural, and artistic meaning, organizers said.
