A giant pirate ship is landing on the Tamsui waterfront this summer.
The 2026 Tamsui River Voyage Fun has been organized to help promote the opening of the Danjiang Bridge in May and features a collaboration with One Piece, a hugely popular Japanese manga and anime series about pirates.
It will bring One Piece-themed installations to Tamsui Golden Riverside, with a 12-meter-high Thousand Sunny ship appearing on the Tamsui River.
Visitors will be able to board the Thousand Sunny’s deck for photos, making it the only One Piece ship installation in Taiwan currently open for deck access. A 6.5-meter-tall Luffy installation will also be on display nearby.
