Taipei Film Festival 2026
The summer film fest returns with screenings, awards, and international cinema
The Taipei Film Festival will bring two weeks of Taiwanese and international cinema to venues across the city.
Now in its 28th edition, the festival centers on two major competitions: the Taipei Film Awards, which spotlight Taiwanese films and filmmakers, and the International New Talent Competition, which focuses on emerging directors from around the world, according to organizers.
This year’s theme is “Stay Curious,” inviting audiences to explore unfamiliar stories, new voices, and different ways of seeing the world.
The 2026 festival opens with the world premiere of supernatural comedy Oh My Ghost Oh My God. It closes with The Grandmaster’s Gift, a family drama starring Li Li-chun, Daniel Hong, and Yile Xia.
Screenings will be held at Zhongshan Hall, SPOT Huashan Cinema, and Eslite Art House. Tickets are available through OPENTIX.
