To mark the 100th anniversary of the births of jazz stars Miles Davis and John Coltrane, the Taipei Jazz Orchestra is holding a tribute concert to celebrate the pair.
The program features big-band arrangements of works associated with them, including Giant Steps, Naima, and All Blues.
Founded in 2009, the Taipei Jazz Orchestra is one of Taiwan’s most active jazz ensembles, according to the Taipei Jazz Orchestra.
Led by saxophonist Cheng-Yu Lee and conductor Gene Aitken, the group has collaborated with international jazz musicians and continues to promote jazz performance and education in Taiwan.
