Taipei Poetry Festival 2026
Readings, performances, and city events bring verse off the page

The 2026 Taipei Poetry Festival will take place at venues across the city from Sunday September 27 to Sunday October 18, using readings, performances, and talks to explore the relationship between readers, poetry and city life, according to the organizers.
The festival will open at Taipei Zhongshan Hall on Sunday September 27 with a two-hour performance combining poetry with music, dance and projected images.
Titled “Poetry Is Our Special Season: Modern Poetry Opening Night,” the production will reinterpret classic poems for the stage, according to the festival’s official social media pages.
Other activities will include poetry events around Beimen MRT Station, talks focusing on individual poets and literary themes, a public reading at Daan Forest Park MRT Station, school lectures, and community activities.
