The Taiwan International Play Reading Festival returns in 2026 with a focus on Korean theater, bringing together staged readings, talks, forums, and cross-cultural exchange at Taipei Performing Arts Center.
Organizers said the program is divided into four sections: Korea Series, Taiwan Contemporary, Formosa Classics, and Talks and Forums.
The theater festival focuses on staged readings rather than full productions. Actors perform plays with minimal staging, putting the focus on the writing, dialogue, and ideas behind each work, according to promotional materials.
This year's performances will have Chinese, Korean, and English subtitles. For the full schedule, visit the Taipei Performing Arts Center website.
